The North East - a great place for graduates
What is life like for graduates who stay in the North East after university? We spoke to these recent graduates to find out why they chose to live, work and stay in the region.
Their jobs range from Head of Marketing at an e-commerce start-up, though to a Design Engineer who designs mine clearance vehicles, giving an indication of the range of career opportunities that exist for graduates in the North East.

Ben's Story
After studying in both York and Newcastle, Ben Moore made his home in the North East and is currently working as Marketing Manager at the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult in Blyth.
Ben talks about how the North East has lots to offer graduates.
Rosie's Story
As a Design Engineer at Newcastle-based Pearson Engineering, Rosie Brighty works as part of a team designing mine clearance vehicles.
Rosie, who is originally from Carlisle, studied a BSc in Chemistry and an MSc in Design and Manufacturing Engineering, both at Newcastle University, before landing a job as a Graduate Design Engineer at Pearson Engineering.
Tristan's Story
After growing up in Oxfordshire, Tristan moved to Durham to study a BSc in Psychology. After university he lived in London and Leeds before returning to the North East in 2008.
