The creation of a Centre of Excellence for Hyperbaric Testing on the north bank of the River Tyne will provide arguably the foremost hyperbaric testing facility in the world. The facility will support the continued development of the Oil and Gas industry in the North East, help attract further inward investment into the region and provide a world class research facility for Newcastle University. The centre will be developed by the British Engines Group and Newcastle University.
