Infrastructure for Forrest Park

Building of new electrical substation and highway, including new junction on A167 to allow traffic flow into new development site in County Durham.

Forrest Park has the capacity to accommodate a mixture of prime B1, B2 and B8 business, commercial and industrial units and a rail freight terminal. Located at Newton Aycliffe, County Durham the site will enhance and promote the key strategic investment corridor of the A167 / A1(M).

It will have regional significance as an employment hub, by extending Aycliffe Business Park the largest employment site in County Durham and the second largest in the North East. Forrest Park has the potential to deliver over 3,200 jobs across more than 163,000m2 of floorspace on 48 hectres of developable land.
