A19 to North Bank of Tyne (Swans site and Port of Tyne)

Improvements to junctions on routes linking to North Bank of the Tyne regeneration area, including the Swans site (Enterprise Zone) and Port of Tyne.

The A19 to North Bank of Tyne project is a highway improvement scheme for the A187 and A193 corridors which link the A19 with the employment and residential areas along the Tyne riverside and run into east Newcastle at Walker and Byker. The scheme involves junction remodelling, including capacity enhancements at key junctions, cycle route improvements and upgrading of crossing facilities.
