Supporting economic growth by offering space for businesses from startup to scaleup.

NE Enterprise Zone

Enterprise Zones are designated areas across England that provide tax breaks and government support. They are great places to do business especially for both new and expanding firms. Enterprise Zones are part of government’s strategy to support businesses and enable local economic growth and the North East Enterprise Zone is managed by the North East LEP.

The North East Enterprise Zone is made up of 21 sites that have been strategically selected to drive growth by building on local strengths, making the most of our natural and physical environment, skills and existing business base, as well as the innovation ecosystem.

The sites benefit from agreements that enable up-front investment and speedy development of facilities, as well as simplified planning processes.
