Part of a wide transformation plan, this phase plans to improve the City Centre’s physical environment on the main

retail / leisure areas:

· Northumberland Street – investment in new streetscape on the southern half up to the junction with Northumberland Road.

· Ridley Place, Saville Row – side streets that connect to Northumberland Street with Northumbria University and support new

· Grey Street – Enhancing the streetscape of the most iconic street in the City with its stunning Georgian architecture to create a vibrant mixed use street for commerce, cultural events and performance.
