Linking from Hawkes Road directly to the A184 Felling bypass, a new 0.5km link road is being constructed as part of a ‘Green Blue’ corridor, containing landscaped walking and cycling routes, and the provision of habitats that encourage biodiversity. The scheme runs through Baltic Quarter improving access to housing development sites, Baltic Quarter, planned Arena, Conference and Exhibition Centre at Gateshead Quays and adjacent new Multi Storey Car Park.
